As 2010 is about to come to an end and X-mas marks a turning-point in nature, I would like to present our favorite pictures that were over the last few months - around our life, work and landscape :

here is an album showing you around in our premises which was taken at the occasion of the ISO and IFS (International food standard) inspection. Here I should mention that we got a rating of 99.57 out of a 100 points.

Here follows a selection of the most beautiful pics of olive trees in our collection.

A few of the many wonders of nature can also be seen in this collection of the most impressive sunsets of this last autumn.

More good news still!
Mani-Bläuel extra virgin olive oil and olives have been awarded 3 more times since my last blog entry: we got two golden Great Taste Awards in London and for the first time an award by the Greek Gourmet magazine.
This makes a total of 8 awards in the 8 months of the year 2010!

Good News from Greece!
Mani-Bläuel extra virgin olive oil has been awarded again. This winter (and maybe some hard work?) has provided us with the most exquisite olive oil it seems. Surely the most successful in terms of awards we ever seen.
Two great awards in Italy among mainly Italian oils with Italian tasters is something very very special for a Greek olive oil:
First a Gold Award at the expo & competition "Monocultivaroliveoil" held May 8 to 9, organized by Frantoi Celletti Cultivar in Milan.

This is the only olive oil competition dedicated to oils from a single variety only. In our case Koroneiki. 
The second award was a DIPLOMA DI GRAN MENZIONE in Parma at the competition: 4th International Olive Oil Competition "ARMONIA" -ALMA Trophy- with 293 participating olive oils. The results can be seen on the site of International Oliveoil Agency, the organizer of the competition. 
That makes unbelievable 5 very prestigious awards for our oil of the harvest 2009/2010 so far.

Bronze in China

A third place in China completes our streak of success of this spring in a wonderful way:
At the 5th CHINA INTERNATIONAL OLIVE OIL COMPETITION where organic oils were treated as a separate category, our Mani-Bläuel extra virgin olive oil from organic agriculture was raised on the pedestal one more time!

Nr.1 in Greece

Yesterday our Mani extra virgin olive oil was awarded the platinum olive branch award as the best oil of Greece in its category.
Just three weeks after winning the international organic competition (see entry of 22.2.2010) we are overjoyed about this great news.
Again I remain in great gratitude to our farmers and co-workers and of course to our customers as well, since it is them who provide us with a foundation to do this work.

Nr.1 at BioFach

Probably the most prestigious award we ever won:
The Mani Bläuel Kalamata DOC extra virgin organic olive oil has been chosen the best olive oil at the BioFach Fair 2010 in Nürnberg, Germany.
BioFach is the biggest organic fair in the world and the test was held as a blind tasting by the public who attended the fair over 3 days. Our oil was chosen the best among 74 competing oils from all over the world.
We are very happy and congratulate our farmers and co-workers wholeheartedly!
